Scoopt, the citizen journalism picture agency has announced a partnership with
Fotolibra to offer more traditional stock photography to its customers. The two services offer very different and distinct content and are attempting to promote each others respective offerings. The reasoning behind the partnership was described in an e-mail sent by Scoopt on August 10th “As you know, we deal mainly in breaking news and celebrity material... the kind of pictures and videos that make tonight's evening news, tomorrow's newspaper and weekly and monthly magazines. We don't really deal with 'stock' photography, which is to say anything creative or artistic or non-newsworthy.”
