PhotoShelter to handle Major League Baseball
Last month, we reported that PhotoShelter had won an impressive client by signing the prestigious Contact Press Images photojournalist agency. Today, PhotoShelter’s owner, BitShelter LLC’s, announced another high-profile deal having won the business of Major League Baseball. MLB Photos first used PhotoShelter’s digital archive management and distribution system during the World Baseball Classic earlier this year. PhotoShelter enabled MLB to receive images uploaded by photographers at the various international competition sites and edit and distribute them to clients around the globe."In the days leading up to the World Baseball Classic, MLB Photos was faced with the challenge of moving thousands of images from our contributing photographers to multiple clients simultaneously," says Paul Cunningham, Photo Editor for Major League Baseball Photos. "PhotoShelter's Multi-User platform proved to be a timely solution to a vexing problem."
