Paparazzi Blocked At New Cruise Film Location
The Orlando Sentinel reports, Try to take a snapshot of Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin or Catherine Zeta-Jones in downtown Fort Lauderdale and you may wind up posing for a mug shot.... Officers at the site said the signs were a response to a gang of paparazzi descending on the area in recent days. They said the prohibition applies not only to celebrity-chasing shooters, but anyone with a camera or a smartphone.....

Mavrix Photo To Sue UK Daily Mail
The Daily Mail (Associated Neewspapers) is being sued by Florida based celebrity photo agency Mavrix Photo for publishing a number of celebrity images in the hard copy newspaper and the Daily Mail website without prior fee agreement’s being made.
‘One LLP, a Newport Beach and Santa Monica intellectual property and entertainment litigation firm, has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit on behalf of its client, Mavrix Photo, Inc. against the Daily Mail of London. “This is a case of repeated infringement of numerous photographs of celebrities that belong to our client and a seven figure case given the numerous infringements in different media,” said Peter Afrasiabi, one of the lawyers for Mavrix’.
One LLP has filed several similar lawsuits for its celebrity photo agency clients in recent months, seeking to protect the images of its clients from the growing online infringement occurring on celebrity gossip sites.
