Newscom appoints Tom Bannon as Sales Director and launches new brand identity
Newscom, a leading content provider based in Washington DC with more than 18 million images from the world’s top publishers, has announced the appointment of Tom Bannon as Director of Sales. Bannon, a stock photo industry veteran, comes to Newscom from Getty Images where he served as Director of Sales for National Accounts. At the same time, Newscom launched a new logo and brand identity.
“We are excited to add Tom Bannon to the Newscom team,” said Newscom General Manager Bill Creighton. “He has proven himself a strong leader and capable strategist in both small entrepreneurial endeavors and large corporate settings. His expertise in business development, sales and management will be a valuable asset to Newscom.”
Prior to working at Getty, Bannon was Senior Vice President for Business Development at Octopus Media, Director of Business and Content Development for Netserv LLC, Senior Manager of Sports at Prodigy Online Services, and Director of Publications for the New York Yankees. His responsibilities at Newscom will include management of sales and business development in the U.S. and Canada, and leading customer service efforts for the company.
