Ian CheeWah appointed Managing Director of ITN Source in North America
ITN Source, a leading provider stock footage from the UK has announced the appointment of Ian CheeWah to the post of Managing Director for its North American business. With this appointment ITN Source is attempting to reach new customers in the US market with its archive of over 800,000 hours of footage including collections such as Reuters and Fox Movietone. “The US is a prime consumer of archived video, accounting for nearly 45% of global sales, and it is the hub of future growth worldwide,” said Mr. CheeWah. “As the market continues to heat up, this role driving ITN Source’s business in America was extremely attractive, offering the opportunity to ensure ITN Source becomes the industry leader.”
Mr. CheeWah will report directly to ITN’s CEO, Mark Wood and will be responsible for driving growth opportunities in America. “Ian clearly understands the full scope of the digital marketplace, from technical to sales, and has a proven ability to grow teams and revenues,” said Mark Wood, CEO of ITN. “With his years in consulting and experience across numerous client industries and markets, Ian is the perfect candidate to expand the awareness of ITN Source’s offer and meet the growing need for professional video content.”
CheeWah brings more than 15 years of experience in business development, strategy and sales to ITN having worked at Sapient for 12 years, from 1995 to 2007, he headed various groups and regions, growing the most recent charge from $2M to $60M in revenue. He also spearheaded the development of three new business lines: Media & Entertainment, Telecom and Government Services.
Further strengthening the US team, Gerald Major will join as US sales manager in New York, reporting to CheeWah.
