Guinevere Smith named National Entertainment Photo Editor for The Associated Press
Initiatives in entertainment, sports and financial news are part of the AP 2.0 corporate strategy, which focuses on new growth opportunities for The Associated Press in markets around the world. In her new role Smith will be based in Los Angeles, where she will direct, develop and enhance AP´s photo entertainment coverage in the United States. Her responsibilities will also include working with Canadian Press to coordinate entertainment coverage in North America.
”Her skills bring an exciting dimension to the AP photo leadership team”, said National Photo Editor Victor Vaughan, who made the announcement: “We are committed to offering the best entertainment visual content to our audiences and glad to have ‘Guin’ on our team.”
Smith succeeds Dan Becker, who was named AP director of entertainment content in January.
