News Brief: PhotoAlto opens sales office in the big apple
The Paris-based royalty-free image supplier, PhotoAlto, has opened a sales office in New York City. Marci Gershel will run the new office on West 15th Street in Manhattan. The company, has had a presence in the US market through it’s office in St. Petersburg, Florida for several years but wants to establish closer working relationships with the bigger client-base in New York City.
Ms. Gershel brings over seventeen years of sales and business development experience to her new post having worked for over a decade FPG until shortly after its purchase by Getty Images and, later, at ImageState (NY,) at the specialist medical and science agency, Phototake, and at Masterfile. PhotoAlto also says they intend to launch a Right Managed division and the New York location will give them easier access to talent and partners. Ms. Gershel’s responsibilities will also include assisting in managing relationships with local photographers in NY.
