F1online acquires Image Direkt
Frankfurt based F1online has announced the acquisition of the German photo agency Image Direkt, one of Germany's largest professional resellers of royalty-free stock photography. Both companies launched in 1997 and have operated for approximately 10 years as cross-town rivals in the Frankfurt region.
The buyout of Image Direkt is the second acquisition for F1online; in 2004 the company acquired Imagine from Hamburg. Starting October 1st, the Image Direkt team will be integrated into F1online under the management of Gunnar Lieb and Sabine Pallaske. In addition, the acquisition will provide an additional 500,000 unique photos to be available to F1online and Image Direkt customers at http://www.f1online.de.
