Everett expands with four international collections

Everett expands with four international collectionsThe Everett Collection (EC) has announced the addition of  images from four archives to its database, expanding its coverage of both historical and contemporary imagery.  According to EC President, Ron Harvey, the new images lend even more depth to company’s well-known archives of historical and contemporary entertainment personalities for editorial uses.  The company also hopes these collections, with many images available for advertising, will help it enter the commercial use market, as well.

The first of the four new (to Everett) collections is Keystone, France, an archive founded in 1927 which now holds over 15 million images from all continents on a variety of subjects such as arts, sciences, everyday life, industry and major political, sporting and cultural events.  The current owners of Keystone, Eyedea, a French company who purchased the archive from Hachette two years ago, have begun to digitize the archive for international distribution.  EC has also taken on two formidable historical archives from England; MirrorPix from the famed Daily Mirror newspaper group, and Mary Evans Picture Library.  MirrorPix imagery, which covers world events of the entire 20th century, comes to the US market for the first time through Everett.

EC will also represent Matrix, a London-based supplier of celebrity imagery founded in 1999.  Matrix covers the contemporary London entertainment and royalty scene, offering both re-carpet coverage and candid celebrity imagery.  Everett will be showcasing these new collections at the upcoming ASPP meeting in Phoenix this week-end and the How Conference in Boston in mid-May.
