Deborah Free takes over Picturehouse US
Deborah Free, who many stock photo industry colleagues know through her work for various agencies and at industry events, has taken a leading role in the picture buyers event business, Picturehouse. Free has acquired the exclusive rights to the Picturehouse name and business in North America.
Ms. Free’s career in the stock photo industry began when she joined the stock agency Natural Selection in 1989. She later worked as a consultant for various agencies as well as the industry trade organization the Picture Archive Council of America.She has worked with Picturehouse for several years and continues to consult for the specialist agency, Stock Food. Picturehouse NY event had record attendance of over 700 visitors and over 100 image supplier organizations. The newly added footage section did not go over as well as hoped and having one in NY this year is still to be determined. In the meantime, Ms. Free is gearing up for Picturehouse-Chicago, which will take place on April 16 at the River east Art Center. Table rates begin at $2000 but discounts are available for exhibitors who post links to the event web-site and distribute an email announcement about the event to their clients.
