Danita Delimont made a Fellow of NANPA
At its 14th Annual Summit last week in Destin, Florida, the North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA) designated Danita Delimont a 2008 Fellow in recognition of her 28 years of service to the organization and to the nature photography industry. Delimont, who founded her own nature and travel stock agency in 2000, is a charter member of NANPA and a six-year member of its Foundation board of directors.
Delimont began her career as a picture professional working with the prolific travel and wildlife photographer, Wolfgang Kaehler. After 18 years working with Kaehler, she founded the Danita Delimont Stock Agency, which specializes in nature and travel imagery. IN addition to NANPA, Delimont has contributed her time and energy to several other industry trade associations, including American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP) where she presided as President for two years, and the Picture Archive Council of America.
Delimont continues to manage her own agency while serving as the co-president of the West Coast chapter of ASPP. She also speaks at industry seminars and writes a column for the NANPA magazine.
