Corbis signs partnership for India
Corbis has announced the signing of a partnership with a New Delhi company called IndiaPicture.com for representation of Corbis in the growing advertising market of India. IndiaPicture brings not only local knowledge and experience to the table for Corbis, but also a huge collection of images of the people, culture and lifestyles of India. The company boasts the largest online repository of images in Southeast Asia.
"We realize that India is a widespread market--its economy is growing at a very healthy rate," said Steve Davis, CEO of Corbis. "There's a lot of potential in the Indian advertising market. In fact, the growth in the advertising industry has been fueled by the economic growth the country is witnessing."
Dushyant Mehta, CEO of IndiaPicture.com, has ambitious plans for the collaboration, saying "We look forward for the partnership with Corbis to emerge as a market leader in a short span of time."
