Art Life reaches 2 Million Images in first six months of operation
Jacksonville, Florida based Art Life Images was launched in January 2007 by former Superstock executive Chris DeLellis. After only 6 months of operation the business claims to have over 2 million images. "We are exceptionally pleased with our progress and with the support and encouragement we receive from both the THP (Technology Hosting Platform) and from our suppliers, who are the best of the best. We are aware of the environmental challenges facing the industry and believe we now represent a combination of the highest quality product backed by best-of-breed, cost effective technologies positioning us as a fresh and hopefully preferred alternative." Stated DeLellis.
The company credits its early success with a strong focus on sales and client services which includes Art Life's new Independent Account Executive (IAE) where the company employs long-time industry sales pros to operate as independent, high-commission agents. "I was with Corbis, Los Angeles for 5 years before we decided to head back East. The Art Life model has allowed me to continue in my hard earned career and maintain important relationships in a way that works with my current situation. Actually, Art Life has a lot of images that were not available to me before which is an additional advantage. It's amazing what the company has accomplished in 7 months." Stated Anne Erdman, who recently relocated to southern Florida to be closer to family. DeLellis adds, "We are pursuing the build of a staff sales team as well as now beginning to recruit for our new IAE model. The IAE approach is not for everyone, but if you're an industry pro with over 5 years of successfully dealing with a quota and are looking at change, self-initiated or not, this model can be exceptionally appealing and lucrative."
DeLellis also touts early success in the search engines for the 7 month-ol website. "I guess all of those SEO chores in the past are paying off. We like to say we license 'professional stock photography'; type that into Google and, yep, we're on the first page. Not bad for a URL that's only 7 months live on the web."
