Ableimages launches new rights-managed image collection
Ableimages a small stock production house was founded in 2005 by stock industry veterans David Harrigan, who has held senior roles at Imagestate, Corbis, and Getty Images, and co-founder Gabriel Giglio. The small agency whose mantra is to “keep it small, lean and keen” is now announcing that it has launched a new rights-managed (RM) image collection to be sold through a global network of distributors.
The fledgling collection includes works by European photographers Jutta Klee and Julian Winslow who have joined ableimages in the belief that now is the time to launch a new RM collection. “Despite the nay-sayers we at ableimages believe that there is room for growth in the Rights Managed area. The key in our belief is to keep your costs down, maintain production standards and focus on producing what your clients need…….good images” according to a recent press release.
The company also claims to have a unique creative vision and states that it is striving to promote a more “aware” portrayal of life with more caring, cleaner and more respectful lifestyle imagery. ableimages does not intend to be a mass producer of generic images, with plans on adding 500 carefully crafted images per quarter. “We want to turn the attitude of image as commodity to one of image as expression, after all lets face it your clients are not interested in how many images you have, they are only interested in you having the right one” adds Harrigan.
