Veer have launched Creative Catalyst, ‘a competition giving creatives the rare opportunity to design a stand-out piece of print with a social focus’. The winner will be profiled and have their work published in Computer Arts magazine, get their hands on £2,000 worth of Veer credits - to aid future creative endeavours - and receive £2,000 to donate to their chosen cause.
Entries ( see those already submitted! ) will be judged by some of the design world’s leading luminaries including Rob Carney, Editor of Computer Arts, Billy Tennant, Creative Director at Veer, Shane Walter, Co-Founder, Creative Director at onedotzero, the renowned moving image and digital arts organisation, Lars Harmsen, Editor in Chief at Slanted Magazine, the award-winning typography publication and Justin Maller, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Depthcore, the leading international art collective.

The winner’s work along with that of the 9 finalists will be shown at the onedotzero_adventures in motion festival, which returns to London’s British Film Institute Southbank from 23-27 November 2011. The work will also be projected on key landmark locations around Berlin.

Billy Tennent, Creative Director at Corbis says, “We wanted to give people the opportunity to use their talent and ideas to raise awareness for a cause they are really passionate about.  We hit upon the theme for social causes as they often can’t afford or aren’t able to take a creative risk, so it’s inspirational territory. For the winning entry we’re looking for work that is not only arresting but thought-provoking too.”

To enter, simply register at www.veer.com/creativecatalyst
Closes: 14th November.
