Getty launches Thinkstock subscription product
Getty Images announced it will now offer another subscription product, Thinkstock, giving new life to a brand the company acquired from Jupiter Images in 2008. The Thinkstock subscription product will include millions of high-quality royalty free photographs, illustrations and vectors from its Getty Images, iStockphoto and Jupiter Images collections. Thinkstock will include both professional and user-generated content. Getty plans to add thousands of new images to the product weekly to keep it fresh and vibrant.
Images included in the Thinkstock product line will be offered to subscribers in a variety of file sizes and each image downloaded will be protected by Getty against copyright claims, provided the images are used in compliance with the Company’s licensing terms. Getty will defend, and be responsible for, any damages and expenses up to $10,000 for each image downloaded.
Thinkstock will be offered at $249 (monthly) and $2499 (annual) and subscribers will have access to 25 downloads per day. The site will also include multiple-shot image packs priced from $59-$999. These packs target customers with smaller budgets or those who are interested in images for specific projects.
