Colangelo’s Sacred Headwaters, Sacred Journey documentary project highlights the environmental challenges facing British Columbia’s Sacred Headwaters, the subalpine basin that forms three major salmon rivers – the formed by the Skeena, the Stikine and the Nass . Colangelo’s documentary studies the various competing interests affecting the environmental health of the area, including the Tahltan First Nation, hunters, mining companies, governmental agencies and environmental groups.

Colangelo’s work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute; received an honorable mention award in the International Photography Awards and named a finalist for the BBC’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year.  The NANPA Foundation develops, supports and implements nature photography projects jointly with NANP and other organizations
