Masterfile’s Endless Media named as an Official Webby Honoree
The Webby Awards established in 1996 by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, which includes such diverse members as Richard Branson, David Bowie, Matt Groening and Harvey Weinstein, as well as writers and editors from a large array of publications. It is considered by many to be the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. This year Masterfile submitted their new Endless Media search interface and received the award of Official Honoree in the Professional Services category in the 13th Annual Webby Awards. There were nearly to 10,000 entries received from over 60 countries.
John McDonald, Masterfile’s VP of Product Development, describes Endless Media as “visual logic for designers with the extreme speed of a desktop application”. Some of its unique features include:
• a horizontal image display that keeps clients from losing their place
• an advanced and improved SimSearch® function that automatically displays an image’s visual similars as well as photos from the same shoot
• an ‘image pairing’ feature that allows clients to use one image to find other visually similar images of a completely different subject matter.
• use of up to 4 active lightboxes at a time
• an extensive History record that allows clients to review any of the images they’ve looked at during their current and past searches
