North Wind Pictures now offering stock footage
North wind Pictures, a niche photo agency specializing in historical imagery has announced that it is now offering footage. The initial footage offering features animation provided by ColdWater Media of Colorado. “We intend to offer brief clips for about the same price as our stills,” states Nancy Carter, North Wind’s owner. “Books have moved from black/white to color, and with the new media available to publishers, why just use still pictures when students are tuned into motion?”
In addition to animation, North Wind has stated that it is actively engaged in shooting video of historical subjects. “The same topics we already stock in photographs we will stock in motion,” says Carter, “for instance, Anasazi ruins, windmills, pioneer trails.”
