Moodboard introduces photographer upload capabilitiesMoodboard, a stock image brand created by the UK-based production company Mike Watson Images, has announced that it has developed a user-generated upload utility to allow the hobbiest and professional photographer to upload images directly for consideration by its editors for inclusion in the archive. This crowd-sourced approach was first pioneered by micro-stock companies such as iStockphoto and has proven to be a very effective means to reach a new generation of contributors. The company is debuting the new technology with a booth at the PhotoPlus conference in New York on Oct 23-25.

In addition the company is also adopting a customized online sales reporting process to allow photographers to track sales of their work quickly and easily. “Our new photographer upload facility is another stage in moodboard’s continual evolution. We constantly strive to be at the forefront of the stock image industry, pushing technologies to enable photographers to make money easier and faster” states Mike Watson CEO of Moodboard & Mike Watson Images.. “moodboard 2.0 will open up more earning potential for hobbiest content than rivals such as i-stock; and in these times of economic uncertainty, it is important we support photographers in every way we can and deliver new and more effective ways for them to sell their work. We will also be driving sales with an exciting marketing campaign to raise awareness of moodboard’s benefits to customers.
