Masterfile launches Green World promotional magazineMasterfile, a stock photography company based in Toronto with offices in France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, has announced that will be distributing its latest magazine publication entitled ‘Green World’ in mid-September 2008. The publication focuses on imagery that supports environmentally compatible living – a trend that is expected to have a major impact on our culture in the near future. The company affirmed in a recent press release “Major corporations are increasingly putting out a ‘green’ message in their marketing strategies; on television, in print and on the web”.  ‘Green World’ was produced carbon-neutrally and printed on 100% recycled paper.

‘Green World’ will be available in two versions, just like Masterfile’s prior publication ‘Mysteries’. There will be a 32 page Deluxe Edition and an 8 page Standard Edition, both in a 240 x 335 mm oversized format.

Lovely design, but unfortunately some of the facts are wrong - you can’t believe everything you read on the web. And its a great shame Masterfile is not really following its own green message since its sending out thousands of copies of printed copies. It may be recycled paper but there are many other environmental costs to send out what many will consider to be junk mail.  Carbon neutral - does this take into account the carbon dioxide from burning fuel in all the postal vans?

Another green gimmick ...........
