ITN Source re-launches site featuring Rights-Ready licensing
ITN Source, a leading provider of stock footage from the UK has announced that it has re-launched its website, located at itnsource.com and featuring Clips On Demand, an archive of more than 500,000 clips with simplified Rights-Ready (RR) licensing. The company is claiming the this is ”the first time customers have been offered a full self service e-commerce model that offers transparency throughout the whole licensing process”. The RR licensing model was first introduced by Getty Images as a compromise between the ease of Royalty-Free (RF) and rights control of Rights-Managed licensing structures.
Customers can now choose between two licenses for either a single country or the entire world for preset industries including broadcast, new media, retail, advertising, corporate, internal
communications and education. Content offered as part of Clips On Demand includes news, history, entertainment and wildlife from ITN’s archive and contributing partners, Reuters, FOX Movitone, Setanta Sports News and UTV. Asha Oberoi, Content Director of ITN Source said: “We’re extremely excited about Clips On Demand, it is an unprecedented move in the video content industry. The site is a key focus for driving our business forward and essential in delivering content to new and existing customers globally. Giving our customers the option to download content will deliver some cost savings, which we are passing on to them in the form of a 30% discount when they purchase content through itnsource.com.”
