Fotolia collection reaches four million images
Fotolia one of the leading mico-payment stock licensing sites has announced that it hea received its 4 millionth image. The image (featured here) was submitted by Christopher Völlmya of Switzerland. With 4 million images Fotolia is certainly not the largest stock library but Since launching in late 2005 Fotolia has grown at a rapid pace serving the needs of more than 300,000 media buyers from around the world.
“We are pleased to be announcing our four millionth image,” says co-founder and president Oleg Tscheltzoff. “Fotolia has, since conception, prided ourselves in bringing together top photographers and illustrators with a wide variety of media buyers. We are thrilled to be able to spotlight the work of a Fotolia photographer with our own milestone. Without our photographers, we would not have had the success we have today, as one of the world’s leading providers of high-quality, micro-priced images.”
