PA Photos sending seven photographers to Olympic Games in Beijing
PA Photos, a photo agency operated by The Press Association in the UK, has announced that it will be sending a team of seven photographers to Beijing to cover the 2008 summer Olympic Games. The team will be headed up by the agency’s Chief Photographer John Giles, a veteran who has covered several Olympic Games and also includes Gareth Copley, winner of Sports Specialist Folio at the Press Photographer’s Year awards.
The agency has stated that a few of the photographers are already in the Chinese capital recording the final preparations before the games to be featured daily on its website. During the Games, four photographers will be based in Beijing and two will be in Hong Kong for the equestrian and sailing events.
