CreateAds.com now offering access to iStockphoto imagery for newspaper ads
iStockphoto, has announced a partnership with CreateAds.com, a self-service ad-creation tool used by Small businesses in the UK to create newspaper ads. Users of the service will now have direct access to more than 2.6 million images from iStockphoto to suit their specific advertising needs. CreateAds.com works with publishers who produce 1,800 weekly and daily publications. Combined, these publications publish approximately 1 million ads per month, one-third of which incorporate photography. According to John Reid, Chairman of The Newspaper Society, “It’s hard to create a bad looking ad using this system”.
Clive Gay, CEO of CreateAds.com, says: “Good images are essential in advertising but most small businesses can’t afford traditional stock images. It’s vital for our business to offer our clients the best images at the best prices possible and we selected iStockphoto for the quality, range and affordability of its collection. We have found iStockphoto to have the most varied and culturally diverse collection. The deal should help us to achieve our ambitious growth targets by significantly increasing sales.”
Garth Johnson, Vice President Business and Community Development at iStockphoto, commented: “Like iStockphoto, CreateAds.com offers a great service to budget-conscious and time-constrained businesses, so it’s a perfect fit for our business. We were particularly interested in its success in key vertical sectors, such as automotive, travel and local services, and believe this partnership provides an ideal channel for us to increase our presence and depth of content in these areas.”
