This unique collection, spans four generations of the royal family and contains over 200,000 images. Graham has over the course of his career gained unprecedented access to the royal family including official events, one-on-one portrait sessions, and behind-the-scenes moments. Several of his books of royal photographs have been international bestsellers. The collection will be housed at Getty Images’ Hulton Archive in London.

“Having photographed royal occasions for three decades, it is now appropriate for me to look to the future,” said Tim Graham. “I am aware of the historical significance of my archive and I want to ensure that my photographs will continue to be published worldwide for many years to come. Getty Images is well-respected in the industry for its principled approach to news and editorial photography and I am delighted that this will be the new home for my royal archive. I am looking forward to combining royal photography with time to travel to new countries and to re-visit favorite places I’ve rushed through on royal tours. My photographs from those travels will also be available on Getty Images.”

“The Tim Graham collection is a valuable addition to Getty Images’ Hulton Archive," Nick Evans-Lombe, executive vice president, imagery, products and services, Getty Images said. "It will enhance our already strong royalty collection that spans back to the birth of the monarchy and beyond. With unique access to royalty over the last 30 years, Tim’s collection contains a wealth of formal and informal images that are intimate, powerful and intriguing. This collection will enable us to offer clients an unsurpassed selection of royalty photographs in one place and meet the continued global demand for imagery of the royal family.”

In addition, Tim Graham will serve as a consultant and contributing photographer and will continue to cover the royals for Getty Images.
