Thought Equity expansion continues with acquisition of FilmWorld
On the heels of last month’s break-through deal to represent the NBC News Archives, Thought Equity Motion (TEM) has announced the acquisition of the Australian film and video content provider, FilmWorld. The arrangement adds a new collection of mostly commercial Asian and Pacific lifestyle footage to TEM’s fast-growing and already formidable list of news, sports, historical and art-directed lifestyle footage archives.
The deal also gives FilmWorld’s clients in Australia immediate access to TEM’s offerings. "I am excited about the investment in our company by Thought Equity Motion, the world's largest provider of online motion content", said Nigel Naseby, general manager of FilmWorld. "FilmWorld's unique and
exclusive lifestyle content is now under the international banner of Thought Equity Motion's impressive content line-up which includes NBC News, National Geographic, Sony Pictures, HBO, the NCAA, the March of Time series and more than 250 other partners".
As many view footage as the next major source of growth in the stock content industry, TEM has quickly taken the leading position as an independent provider of moving content. The company also provides its clients research and clearance services for entertainment, documentary and advertising usage.
