William Radcliffe Appointed as new CTO at ScienceFaction
ScienceFaction announced today that digital media expert and former Corbis technology engineer William Radcliffe has joined the company as its Chief Technology Officer. Radcliffe spent twelve years at Corbis as an architect, research engineer, and strategist in the Emerging Technologies Group. He was also the first photographer to sign with ScienceFaction upon its founding in 2005.
An expert in the area of digital media technologies, applications and work-flows, for over 20 years Radcliffe has been involved in everything from business development and the monetization of digital media, to leveraging advanced web-based service platforms and user-based visual content. Radcliffe will apply his considerable experience, not only to ScienceFaction’s web-site but also to its business strategy.
CEO Roger Ressmeyer says “Bill brings a broad range of very unique industry knowledge, leadership skills and technology experience to this position. We are fortunate to have attracted such an accomplished technical expert who is also familiar with our business model.”

This is a hysterical photo. I love the tiny head and huge body. Definitely a LOL moment. For the record though, I have not worn a tie or white shirt in any of the 12 years I spent at Corbis or in any interaction with ScienceFaction. I do need to lose a little weight these day though.
