Paul Henning to present ‘Profiting from Stock Photography’ seminar in Minneapolis
Stock photography veteran Paul Henning has announced that he is presenting a seminar entitled “Profiting from Stock Photography” later this month in Minneapolis. The seminar is sponsored by ADBASE, an online mailing list service for creatives, and will be held at Shelter Studios on Thursday evening, May 24. “I’m really excited about the opportunity ADBASE has given me to share information about the stock photography industry,” says Henning from his Milwaukee office. “We’ll cover a lot of ground in about two hours, and send people home with a good idea of what the opportunities are today for photographers to cash in on the booming market for stock photography.”
The seminar (first delivered in Chicago on February 1st) is open to anyone from serious amateurs to established professionals who are interested in the following:
- History of the stock picture industry
- Evolution and revolution: stock since the 1970’s
- Change as the one constant you can count on: changing stock image styles
- The most important word that a stock photographer must know
- Getting a head start on stock sales (the assignment shooters’ inherent advantage)
- Unglamorous stuff that every photographer must know (releases, keywording and stock picture price negotiations)
- Assignment outtakes: prime stock material or just sloppy seconds?
- Stock agencies? Online image marketers? Sell directly to picture buyers? The inside scoop on how to get your pictures sold!
Members of professional photographer trade associations (ASPP, ASMP and APA) will receive discounted entry fees of $30.00. All other attendees will be charged $45.00.
