Jupiter EventsJupitermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM) has announced the acquisition of  two annual ISPCON trade shows as well as the INBOX trade show from The Golden Group, Inc. JupiterMedia sold Search Engine Strategies and many of its other properties last year in order to support its efforts in the stock image licensing business. Now Jupiter appears to be focusing again on the tradeshow business with the launch of bITaPlanet last month, and today’s acquisitions of ISPCON and INBOX. In addition, Jupiter CEO Alan Meckler has stated on his blog that further Trade show acquisitions may be likely and the company plans to launch three brand new shows this year.

"We are excited to be able to consolidate ownership of the valuable ISPCON franchise," stated Alan Meckler, Chairman and CEO of Jupitermedia Corporation. "In addition to gaining these important events which are complementary to our online media properties focused on the ISP industry, this transaction brings us a terrific trade show team that will help grow our various existing and new trade shows," added Meckler.
