ImagePoint launches new simplified RF site TopImages.com
Flat Fee of $170 per Image at Swiss Agency topimages.com
ImagePoint, an independent photo agency founded in Zurich and operating in the German-speaking world since 2001 has launched a new web-site at http://www.topimages.com for marketing RF imagery under a flat-fee licensing model. Customers can license any image on the site for US$170.00. That fee covers a broad RF license for an indefinite period of time with two minor restrictions: only one client may use the image and the client must use the image within six months of purchase.
The founders of topimages.com hope to exploit what they see as weakness among the more established stock photo agencies, the complications created for buyers by their many different licensing models and their multiple brands and collections. "Simplicity is our key marketing value," explains Felix Brunner, Managing Director of topimages.com, which is based in Zurich's Technopark.
Regarding the $170 price, Brunner says, "In our opinion, this is the lowest fair price at which a professional photographer would be sufficiently motivated to sell their images with some degree of exclusivity." The on-line data-base has 300,000 images from 1600 photographers, and adds 300 more images per day.
