Jupiter Media acquires Spanish agency Cover Images
Jupiter Medio CEO, Alan Meckler, is en route to Barcelona Spain where he is sizing up Jupitermedia’s (Nasdaq: JUPM) latest acquisition Cover - Imagen y Publicaciones, S.L. (Cover Images). With a staff of more than 25, and offices in Barcelona and Madrid, Cover Images has become one of the most important Spanish photo agencies. The company currently represents the work of more than 200 photographers."We're excited to add Cover Images' impressive library of over 1.5 million images that are distributed in Spain" stated Alan M. Meckler, Chairman and CEO of Jupitermedia Corporation. "Combining our extensive royalty-free and rights-managed image collections with Cover Images' existing presence creates a terrific base of operations to grow Jupiterimages' position in Spain. This plan is based on what we have successfully been implementing in France and Germany over the past year," added Meckler.
In a blog post about the acquisition Alan Meckler stated a further advantage will be the ability to translate all of Jupiter’s image keywords into Spanish to help Jupiter penetrate all Spanish speaking markets.
