International Marketing and Tips on Going Global ChalkboardIndustry veterans Christina Vaughan, and Colin Finlay are conducting a seminar on international marketing for photo libraries at the upcoming BAPLA AGM, being held at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London on October 10th. The seminar was prompted by a recent BAPLA survey where 77% of members said exporting would be a major priority in the next five years. This seminar, entitled “International Marketing and Tips on Going Global”, will discuss the stages involved in sourcing and building international relationships, and working with international agreements.

Christina and Colin have more than 17 years of experience in the creation, distribution and marketing of commercial imagery. After founding Image Source in 1999, Christina Vaughan established a distribution network of over 250 partners across the world. The company won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category in 2005 for its international sales and exports. Colin has a wide range of experience with international marketing and overseas networks. During his time at Getty Images, he was responsible for establishing an extensive global network and sales support system for archival collections. Since becoming a partner at Photoshot Holdings, revenue generated from outside the UK has increased from less than 10% to almost 50% of total revenue. Photoshot currently works with 116 partners ranging from national news providers to specialist boutique agencies.
