Zuma Press partners with Color China Photo
The US press agency and wire service Zuma Press has announced a distribution partnership agreement with the Chinese agency Color China Photo. At launch Color China Photo represented the work of ten photographers; The agency currently boasts a roster of 46 contributing photographers. In addition Color China Photo has had successful partnerships with such noteworthy names as Reuters (1997-2004) and Getty Images (2004-2006). For Zuma this is the second co-operation with a Chinese agency. Zuma has been working with Imaginechina Since 2003. Stefan Hartmann, VISUELL

On September 19th, we published a report in this space from our affiliate in Germany about the Zuma Press and it’s new partnership with an agency in China. Due to translation errors, the report included an incorrect company name for the Chinese Company as well as statements of fact relating to a company in Hong Kong whose name we mistakenly used in the report. That company, China Photos Limited, has asked us to publish the following correction:
"China Photos Limited" (also known as "China Photos") has no relationship whatsoever with "Color China Photo". China Photos Limited is a company incorporated in Hong Kong on 1st February 2005 with Company Number 949739. Prior to its incorporation in 2005, China Photos Limited was then known as "China Photo". Since incorporation, China Photos Limited holds out to the public and is commonly referred to as "China Photos" by the market. China Photos Limited has never assumed the name of or changed its name to "Color China Photo". China Photos Limited is the only company which has signed an exclusive distribution / royalty agreement with Reuters and Getty Images at all times.
