German-Images.de shuns “Cutting Edge” photography

Comments (0)

"A common complaint among picture buyers is that the large picture agencies are offering fewer and fewer normal usable pictures. Instead they are offering trendy, smooth, over-stylized material, which is more of a marketing tool for the picture agencies than that it is useful for the customer ", says Ton Mascini.  With this in mind Armin Puschmann and Ton Mascini created the on-line stock photo agency German-Images.de.  The two former Zefa executives - Puschmann was EDV-leader in Duesseldorf and Mascini led the business of zefa in the Netherlands – are following the Credo: no Cutting Edge, "We are creating usable material with a German emphasis.  We want to serve a market that the big agencies have ignored."  German-Images.de offers royalty-free images of cities, country and people, industry, traffic, economics, and society.
