Less is more for the Swiss agency ImagePoint
Founded in 2002, ImagePoint permitted photographers to upload their own images for sale through the site at set prices. This lead to the addition of ten new photographers per day, reaching 5,000 photographers by the Autumn of 2005. Only 20% of the images, however, met the quality standards of the agency founder, Felix Brunner. Accordingly, Mr. Brunner removed 80% of the photographers from the agency and now represents 1,000 active photographers with professional quality images and metadata. With this core group the Zurich agency will continue to develop its image data base which currently holds over 200,000 pictures. For more details visit the Imagepoint site at www.imagepoint.biz.
