Masterfile opens new European headquarters in Dussledorf, Germany

The Toronto-based stock photo company Masterfile has announced the opening of its new European headquarters in Dussledorf, Germany.  Masterfile’s Senior VP, International, Tomas Speight will direct the office, which will work directly with clients in Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands and Italy. As part of this development, Masterfile will end its working relationship with the Corbis-owned zefa visual media group, which had represented Masterfile’s collection in those territories (with the exception of France).  Masterfile-Dussledorf will also start handling sales directly with clients in Switzerland and Austria as of April, 2006.  The European offices of Masterfile will employ approximately 30 people.
