Wireimage opens office in Spain
MediaVast, the parent company of Wireimage has announced that it has opened a spanish office in Madrid, Spain. The office will be headed up by Ruth Macarrón who was appointed to the role of Sales Manager, charged with bringing the WireImage, FilmMagic, and Contour Photos brands to Spanish customers. MediaVast Spain will offer its current offerings and also focus on local production and national events. To date, MediaVast's flagship agency WireImage already covers Spanish sports (UEFA Champions League and the Spanish Primera Liga as well as tennis powerhouse Rafael Nadal), film festivals (San Sebastian International Film Festival), and royal events (celebration of Princess Leonor of Spain's first birthday, Spanish Royals attending the traditional summer holidays, among others).
Ruth Macarrón comes to MediaVast from Bauer Editions, where she served as Director of Photography. One of her most recent achievements is the successful launch of Spanish
In Touch, which went to press in September 2006. While at Bauer's New Projects division, Macarrón built the photography department, recruited and trained teammembers, and brokered financial agreements with various photo agencies.
